Close and Remote are now working on a sequel to ‘We Are Making A Film About Mark Fisher’.
The sequel is called ‘Alice in Wonderland FFS’, and it explores the ways in which systems operate against people. The film merges the Alice in Wonderland story with Mark Fisher’s ‘Post-capitalist Desire’ lectures, with the intention of showing a way through, as imagined by Fisher’s writing. The film will feature five different Alices, each navigating different absurdist systems in this Wonderland of Gross Britannia.
We are actively seeking funds to help with this project, as we do not have any financial support.
All donations will be used to fund the making of this new film – hiring equipment; paying actors & crew; travel costs etc. At the moment we are looking to raise funds for the next sequence we will be shooting in March 2027 – a version of the Mad Hatters Tea Party which will be filmed in Birmingham and will include Portuguese psych band ‘Beautify Junkyards‘ playing live with a blurring between actors and audience.
