Working with Common Ground and young people from Lowestoft, Flip the Museum (2020) re-skins the exterior of Lowestoft Museum with a virtual trail of re-imagined and missing stories related to the museum’s collection, using video, sound and your smartphone.

Writer and poet James McDermott  worked with the young people created poems responding to objects in the collection and re-contextualising them within their own ideas around current social and political concerns.

The poems are by Sameera Bhalotra Bowers, Sophie Siu and Lily Smith.

These poems have been turned into a series of six short films with original soundtracks by Sandy Nuttgens. The young people also narrated their poems for the short films. You can view all six films below.
