DAVID MATTHEWS is an award-winning writer and journalist who has written for the Observer, the Sunday Telegraph, Esquire and the Mail on Sunday.  David also wrote and presented the highly acclaimed three-part documentary series for BBC3, The Trouble With Black Men.  His debut book, Looking for a Fight, was short-listed for the 2001 William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award and tells of his remarkable journey into the heart of professional boxing.  His second book, Man Buys Dog, is a tragicomic exposé of the world of greyhound racing. In 2009, he published his third book, True Blue, an entertaining insight into grassroots conservatism (co-written with Chris Horrie). His latest book is a pictorial oral history of the multi-platinum selling band, Faithless. Apart from books and features, David has also co-produced documentaries for Channel 4 and the BBC and collaborated with other artists on international works including ‘Aquavoltaic’ and ‘Rush Hour’. David is currently Fellow at the Design Against Crime Research Centre at Central St Martin’s.
